We’re kicking off something special—and you’re on the guest list. Kefi’s inaugural journey will take you to Merano, a hidden gem nestled in the foothills of the Alps in Northern Italy’s South Tyrol region.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Artisans, Architecture & Wine

Our carefully curated itineraries are designed to immerse guests in the local artisanal flavors and traditions of the region. You’ll meet locals who are stewards of time-honored traditions and gain a deep appreciation for their way of life.

We’ll explore the cosmopolitan side of Merano—local cuisine, wine tasting, beautiful architecture, and shopping along palm-tree-lined streets with stunning views of snow-capped mountains.

To welcome you properly, we’ll begin with a guided tour of Merano. We’ll walk its beautiful streets, learn its history, take in the antiquity, and enjoy lunch featuring local flavors.

Later, we’ll visit an 800-year-old winery with a museum of incredible wine-making instruments from long ago. Our visit will culminate in a tasting experience and a deeper look at the winery’s unique story.

Day 2:

Mountains, Cowbells & Castles

We'll take a short ride to San Virgilio and board a cable car to the “almost top.” The views of Merano, Avelengo, and the valley below are absolutely stunning.

From there, we’ll hop on the cutest single chairlifts to the very top—where the views get even better. A gentle mountain walk awaits (go at your own pace), along with fresh air and the sound of cowbells echoing through the hills.

We’ll stop for lunch at a traditional Hütte, enjoying local fare and alpine views on the way back down.

Later, we’ll visit majestic Tirol Castle, originally built before 1100. We’ll explore its museum, dive into medieval history, and soak up yet more stunning vistas.

Day 3:

Dolomites, Culture & Canyons

We’ll leave early to head into the Dolomite Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its dramatic rock formations and rich culture.

The exact itinerary depends on the weather (fingers crossed!), but you can expect gorgeous scenery, a gentle walk or small hike, and the unique experience of seeing signage in both Italian and German—this region is a true blend of cultures.

Planned stops include San Martino in Badia and Canazei, with a delicious lunch in Bressanone/Brixen.

Day 4:

Rest, Spa & Rejuvenation

We’ve built in a day of total relaxation so you can fully enjoy the hotel’s offerings.

Lounge by the pool, unwind in the spa, or stroll the walking trails at your own pace. Spa services aren’t included in the trip cost, giving you the freedom to select treatments that suit your needs.

Day 5:

Wool, Weaving & Gardens

This is such a special day! You’ll be introduced to the art of traditional woolen fabric making—from fiber to garment. You’ll see the full transformation: spinning, weaving, and crafting of authentic Tyrolean pieces for home and wardrobe.

Later, we’ll visit the stunning Trauttmansdorff Castle Gardens in Merano. With over 80 garden landscapes featuring plants from all over the world, it’s a beautiful blend of contemporary design and medieval charm.

The castle, built in the 1300s, was once a retreat for Empress Sissi of Austria, who came to Merano for its healing thermal baths.

Day 6:

Vineyard Picnic Finale

We’ll wrap up our trip with something truly memorable: a visit to a local vineyard.

You’ll enjoy a scenic walk through the vines, learn what makes the region and its grapes so special, and end with a wine tasting and private picnic right in the vineyard. A beautiful, flavorful send-off!
